Upon arriving in Surat Thani, we went into the Kao Sok national park. Its a big nature reserve to the west of Surat Thani. Stayed in a bamboo house for a couple of nights here. On the first day, we went tubing down the local river. Just sat in a huge rubber ring and float downstream in the sun... very relaxing and chilled out. In the evening we had a nice meal at a local resteraunt nearby - it rained so hard. Were in the rainforest here so at night it buckets down. On the second day went for a walk around the Kao Sok park. Nice waterfalls and jungle scenery, had a swim in the river and just chilled all day. In the evening we had a big bbq near our bamboo place - great food and ate as much as i could!! Yum Yum!
Had to get up at 5 in the morning or else i would have missed the ferry over to Koa Samui - took about 1 1/2 hours to get over there. The beaches here are perfect white and the sea is like having a bath its so hot. Getting a good tan as well!! woo hoo! Last night we had a big night out. The clubs here are great - you can go in shorts and flip flops, and they are only about 30 seconds walk from the beach. we ended up in this club with a swimming pool in, and half the club ended up drenched in water and most people were in the pool whether they liked it or not!!! Great party!
It is very touristy here though - going over to Koa Tao tomorrow where they arent many clubs or anything... just beaches and clear sea - I cant wait! Think i may do a bit of diving while im there, its supposed to be the place to do it. Having a great time here!
