Kirsten decided to have an afternoon nap. Michael and Jacki went exploring - firstly to Pioneer Square. The original part of the city that was burnt down after a furniture worker left glue close to heat. City rebuilt higher so leaves unique underground tunnels. Then explored Pike Markets - famous for its fish and fresh vegetables and flowers . Big bunches of flowers ranged from $5-$10.
Bought fresh peaches with no fur on the skin. Bought Kirsten a huge peanut butter cookie for afternoon tea.
On way back to hotel discovered the Pike Brewery. Tasting plate of beers - novel but good idea. Back to hotel and Kirsten is still fast asleep. Even tried to tempt her by putting cookie open near her bed:) she finally woke up at 4.45pm.
