Afternoon orientating ourselves to Seattle. Great system with hire cars. A shuttle bus takes you to what looks like another mini airport terminal - about
10 mins from airport. Our car hire was upgraded to a Chevrolet Impala , thank you Thrifty. Michael did well driving to Seattle and making sure he stayed on the right side of the road. Belinda's Garmin helped us from getting lost.
A little frustrating when the hotel didn't have our room available until 6pm. 2 hours wandering around Seattle jet lagged. We made the most of it. Enjoyed some lunch at an authentic Mexican restaurant and explored the waterfront. Kirsten discovered the Rocky Mountains Chocolate Shop. She bought a $6 chocolate strawberry that weighed .230lb! On way back to hotel we saw Red Sox supporters descending on the city.
Once we got our room we all crashed and didn't wake up until 11pm. Wandered the city trying to find somewhere to eat. Limited options with most kitchens closed at 11pm. Found the Elephant and Castle - a replica English pub serving good food. The Manhatten Clam Chowder was delicious. Michael toasted his first night here in the U. S with a Boddington's and then washed it down with a local beer - Krolsch. Looking forward to our body clock adjusting.
