So its official, im rubbish at this whole blog lark haha. Sorry to anyone who has gone to the effort of checking but not found anything new for weeks now!
(Good) few weeks ago all the volunteers met up in Kampala at our hosts house. Had a great time living the ex-pat life of luxury! Was really good to hear about everyone elses projects and accommodation.. or lack of. We were taken swimming and were able to wash with hot water coming from an actual shower - luxury!
Since then we've had some volunteers come to stay a weekend with us. Had a lovely meal in Garden City at the steak house, it was DELICIOUS. Had a nightmare getting back from Kampala at about 7pm ..the city just turns crazy. Needless to say we made it but wont be doing it again any time soon! We also took them to visit our school and local village, nothing exciting but made it a good weekend.
Just the weekend passed we were away in Mubende visiting a very swanky project. A fair few other volunteers were there too. Their accommodation has running water, they only drink bottled water and they have an ACTUAL TOILET. We were all dumbstruck when we arrived at this heaven haha. We visited the school where there was a talen show and school dance. Their dancing is very ...*ahem* mature? As they themselves say, they dance 'close close' .
Guess i should also mention that since the last entry we've succumed to the 'boda-boda'. Its a scooter/motorbike thing you hop on the back of.. its a white knuckle ride. And most definitely a death trap haha. Ive also had lots of mail from home so HUGE thanks to you guys. Especially to mum for supplying the snacks whilst Anna keeps me updated with 'Cheryl Coles Shocking Divorce Details!' - my mind is now at peace.
Not long until im home now (3 & a bit weeks!) getting very excited but before we leave we still have weekend trips to Jinja and Entebbe. We also have the End of Term Exams at the school and ive also started a netball club - yes i understand its hard to imagine haha.. especially considering we dont have baskets. Oh the challenges of Africa! haha
Thats just about it but i promise ill write another entry soon. MISS YOU ALL! xxxxxx

Mum PS Wish you hadn't mentioned the BODA BODA WHITE KNUCKLE DEATH TRAP RIDE. Some things are best for mums not to know about! Will pretend I didn't read that. xxxxx
