Let's go the long way
Today we travelled from Kilcoy to Milmerran via Toowoomba. We went to the Farmers Market in Toowoomba and bought some gourmet food for the trip, including some tiny turkey roasts which we can employ to make a Christmas in July meal. We are spending the night at the Yarramalong Weir Campground. Unlike last night, we are not in a town. The weir is for irrigation and we are surrounded by cotton farms. On the way here, we passed the Commodore mine (coal, not Holdens) and a small power station before reaching our campsite via a series of gravel farm roads. We even got to cross the rabbit proof fence (twice). While waiting for our travelling companions, we were serenaded by a yellow crop dusting plane. Some impressive flying there!
