Hallo! Heute habe ich nach Friedrichschafen und Meersburg gegangen! Es war sehr scho:ne! =)
English: Haha! Hey! Today I went sight-seeing with my host-dad, Andy, to Meersburg and Friedrichschafen. It was amazing! I took way too many pictures for my own good. He showed me where my Volkshochschule is and where the train will drop me off. I saw the Bodensee (Lake Konstanz) and I took pictures of the Swiss and Austrian Alps. Hmm...How do they know when Switzerland begins and Austria ends? Maybe they should build some type of wall in between. (haha just kidding!).
We had coffe in I-O Espresso Bar in Friedrichschafen and then continued on to Meersburg. Meersburg is an old town that is made up of old-style shops and even has some castle-looking buildings. You can also see the Alps from there. OH! By the way, I think I will be losing ALOT of weight by the time I go back to the USA. I have climbed sooooo many staircases today. And they are hard to climb because they are all uphill and made of cobblestone. Talk about a work-out! Germany is so cool! And listening to the way people talk around here is even more interesting. I am starting to sharpen my German skills and today I picked up the courage to start putting my German to work.
Earlier today I woke up and showered and I got the dog, Aisha, ready for her walk. She is a giant ridgeback. I walked out with her down the long dirt road that leads towards the hills and discovered a children's kindergarten camp. I'm not quite sure what it's for but apparently its some type of camping site for children. It was closed at the moment but it was still pretty cool to find it in the middle of the woods. Surrounding me were grapevines and apple trees. In case you didn't know, Bodensee is known for their Apples. Suzanne was also telling me that there is an old man that lives around there and he is very knowledgeable and great to talk to. I'm considering introducing myself to him tomorrow if I can.
Anyway, tomorrow will be a new day and after I walk the dog I just might take the train to Friedrichschafen. By the way, EVERYTHING is closed on Sundays. So i'm not quite sure what i'd do in FN anyway...haha. But I can go sight-seeing again. Or maybe Nathalie and Alex can come over and hang out...we'll see! I'm pretty excited about Elchball coming up next week. WOOHOO! =D
Bis Bald,
Brendita
P.S. I posted Pictures from today!
