Oh dear! I bet everyone has been waiting for me to post a new blog or new pictures...or maybe you didn't even notice that I have neglected my travel journal. But either way, HERE IT IS! My new blog!...Actually, this won't be as long as my previous blog or as interesting either.
I haven't been doing much lately except staying at home. Going out to the bars with my friends was kinda cool at first...but after a while you get bored of going to the same bar, sitting in the same couch, and ordering the same drink (which by the way is VodkaBull or a Caipirinha). I guess I've just been in the mood to see something else and do something else. Carnivals are fun but now that Fasnet is officially over as of yesterday, I will be attending no more carnivals (there's actually one in Markdorf tomorrow but i doubt i'm going). Staying at home isn't too bad sometimes. Instead of going out with my friends I've been riding my bike or walking to town (Markdorf) and walking around the stores. I usually do that on Thursdays because the market is going on and there are alot of people shopping for veggies, fruits, fish, meat, hams and cheeses, and stuff of that sort. There are also 2 men who sit there with an accordion and a guitar and they play music for money. I like to sit on the floor and listen to them after I buy myself a Brezeln or something to eat from the bakery. However, last week when I sat on the floor, I must've looked homeless or something because I had money thrown at me (Did I state this in my previous blog?)...So that's as much as I do around here lately.
I also have my German classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays now from 8:30 am-11:00 am in Friedrichschafen. It gives me something to do...although i'm not sure if i'll have time to go to town on Thursdays now. I'll have to take the train in the morning to town and then back...or I can take the bus, whichever I prefer. They both depart from the same train station.
Last week I went to the Bike Show in FN and got to see alot of cool motorcycles and trials...I enjoyed the Harley's most of all. Dominik from Switzerland works for Harley in Dietikon. I had met him at Opryland Hotel back in Nashville when Harley had a convention there. He's about 1-2 hours away from me so I'm planning on going to see him in Dietikon and possibly going snowboarding in Switzerland. I'm pretty excited about it! =D As I was saying, the show was fun and I have yet to upload the pics to my journal. My host-father has to send them to me b/c I got lazy and didn't want to use my camera. I even wore my Harley Dietikon t-shirt that Dominik gave me when I met him! =D
Today was the first snow I had seen since I arrived in Germany. It looked so nice outside so I went out with Lena and Tizian and we took pictures and had snowball fights. We attempted to build a snowman but Tizian refused because we didn't have a carrot for the nose. Other than that, nothing has been going on with me. Starting to miss my friends and my family...but not a big deal. =D All is well. If anyone wants to visit me, COME ON!
Love, Brenda
