Anyway
I left j+h's after a BBQ with them and their friends, and got dropped off in Sydney city center outside base hostel again, where I was booked in for one night, as the ozexperience bus would be picking me up early in the morning outside the hostel, so after checking in about half 5-6pm time I went up to my room sent the girls a txt to let them know that I was back in Sydney and got myself ready to go out as it was Chinese New Year and there was a big street parade on with fireworks to finnish, so I read my book in my dorm for a bit as the new room mates didn't seem too sociable, more about that later, though one or 2 were friendly enough, then I arranged to meet the girls outside my hostel, so after a bit of palaver due to road barricades I eventually met the girls, charlotte and carol and charlotte's friend chris, they were all wearing red bunny rabbit masks and holding light up inflatable glow sticks which they'd got for free due to it being the year of the rabbit and they'd gotten me a mask and a few spare glow stick things due them breaking if you were too abusive with them!
After general consensus we decided we were hungry, and carol decided to get us into a restaurant in darling harbour, we sat down and felt like idiot in the very nice high end restaurant considering we were wearing bunny masks and casual clothes, so after being seated and looking about nervously and at the price of food, we skipped out of the restaurant pretty sharpish, and thus carol had a subway and we shared chips, while charlotte and chris had fish n chips, I was disappointed by the lack of mayonnaise sauce for my chips and encouraged by the girls went to go ask for some from the subway man and amazingly he gave me some for free, and they were the best chips ever in aus, and then afterwards we walked along to find the parade and after ooh-ing and ahh-ing, (you can see my millions of photos of it, thus no need to describe the scene) we went to go find some of charlotte's travelling friends called Isaac and his brother/cousin george, who was from Miami, we then went back to darling harbour for a few drinks and to watch the fireworks, we ended up in a cool little cocktail bar that had a balcony above the water to see the fireworks, and carol and me discovered a great new drink of lime or pear and raspberry cider with fresh strawberries and wedges of lime and a ton of ice, it made us happy girlies as it was also not too expensive, then again we ooh-ed and ahh-ed over the fireworks, which were pretty good but defiantly not as amazing as Australia day fireworks, as they rivalled even Disney fireworks, apart from the end where they went mental and let off about 10 fireworks at a time for 20 seconds which was pretty impressive, then we stayed for a few more casual drinks and chats then decided to go back to our own hostels, as I had to be up and ready for my bus for before 6am, so I got back and set my alarm, but didn't really sleep as kept waking up, no change there then, then at 5 I got up showered and ready, and had to find everything in the dark as quietly as possible, which was no easy feat and then one of the girls from earlier in my room (unsociable creature to me) told me to keep it down and swore loudly at me, after that just grabbed my stuff and threw it out in the hallway and sorted it there, though was sorely tempted to switch on the lights and serve her right for being so rude, as I was trying to be so quiet, but then I met a guy from our room who was pretty drunk and he made some noise so it wasn't too bad, anyway drama over I checked out and waited for my bus chatting to a girl called Sophie who was also waiting for the ozex bus and the reception guy, the bus eventually turned up, a little late but okay, then we had to pick up other people on various stops and check in at the ozex office, then we set off, and after asking the bus driver about accommodation in coff's harbour and her response of 'don't really know' I wasn't too pleased, but luckily had a good time on the bus chatting at service stops ectect, and then when we arrived at coff's harbour I hopped off the bus not sure which direction to head in or where to go, but luck was on my side and there were 2 mini buses for 2 hostels waiting for travellers off the buses, so I ran up and checked there was space with the hostel I'd already looked up on the internet, and got my rucksack out of the bus and onto the mini van and was sorted for the moment,
