right well after my week with ozintro me and all the other people in my group pretty much and most of the other ozintroers booked into base hostel which is in the city center and i was booked in for 5 nights, and most people were booked in for simillar time scales, it was loverly as my room had air conditioning whereas the surfside hostel didn't so it felt alot like luxury ther haha
but as i was checking in, there was a mess up with the bookings so the room that i was ment to be in either an 8 or 10 bed dorm was all full and i'd either have to saty in one for a night or 2 and then keep moving or i could upgrade and pay another $30 and stay in a 6 bed dorm with ensuite for the whole 5 nights and i really wasn't impressed with that, but the manager (i think) came over and just said to her to book me into the 6 bed dorm anyway without charging me the extra $30 so that made me feel better, and i was expecting ther to be lots of others, but i got in and it was empty so i choose the bottom bunk by the window, and chilled out for a bit, then i was kinda sleepy so i had a nap and when i woke up there was one other girl there and she's danish i think, but so far it's just me and her! but i don't know how good her english is, and now i'm on the internet in base hostel which as 1 dollar per 15 minutes!
well the next day i went off exploring the city,i went for a walk about the city and walked round hyde park (yes everything here is named from somewhere in england, there's even a surry and a liverpool and a newcastle) actually there's also a Bourke Street and a Place called Bourke which we flew over on the way to sydney! but anyway i sat in hyde park by a really pretty pond/lake thing and listened to my music while watching the skater guys try to do tricks, and they weren't too bad, and then i went off again to another park of the park and there were these 2 guys with drums and a gutair sitting on beer crates playing cover songs and they were pretty good actually so i sat and listened to them for a bit as they were next to a really big water fountain with statues on it, i got a photo don't worry, and i walked back and saw 2 of the girls that were in my room in the first hostel, jess+laura and we arranged to meet for drinks at 7 at the bar next to the hostel which is called the scary canary, believe it or not, and then i thought that i'd be getting the train to helena+jim's on sunday, so i went on a proper trek and finally found the train station and had a look about and it was all very confusing but i think i worked it all out in the end, but helena rang me last night and said that jim+her would come and pick me up from the hostel and i just needed to send them the address in an email which i was really grateful about as it would have been a 45 minute trek to the train station from the hostel and with my backpack on and my holdinh my rucksack it would not have been fun, also the first train would have been at 6:21pm or somthing and i have to be checked out of the hostel by 10am, so it would have ment a whole day lugging those bags about haha,
and i now have 3 french guys staying in the same dorm as me and a gi9rl who arrived last night and was still asleep when i went out this morning, but the french guys are really nice and speak quite a bit of english so it's all okay, but i got back to my room yesterday to get ready to go out and meet the girls and one of them was sleeping in my bed! but the one who speaks the most english i think his name is omae woke him up and sorted it out for me and they were very good about it so i didn't mind, i was just a bit surprised, but hey had just got off the plane and were so jet lagged that they just fell into whichever bed, which is understandable, and that was pretty much my days at base, chill out during the day then party at night with people i'd met, pretty awesome life style really,
