Headed into the city again and went to the Australian museum, lots of stuffed animals and skeletons to look at as well as aboriginal art. Unfortunately my flip flop (or thong as they call it here) broke as we were walking around which was a bit annoying! Had some lunch then headed to the museum of contemporary art, I'm not a huge fan of modern art, some pieces were really good but a video entitled "the hour long laugh" with four people in coloured hats laughi...

Headed into the city to a travel agent to book our bus tickets first thing then got the ferry over to manly. Had my first experience of a sushi train style restaurant! Was very nice! Had a quick ice cream on the beach before embarking on the Coastal walk to spit bridge, about a three hour trek around the coastline and through the Sydney harbour national park. Things we saw included... - some pretty large spiders - some aboriginal carvings - a dead lizard - g...

We jumped on the bus over to bondi beach and grabbed some lunch and had an ice-cream on the beach before getting the bus up the road a bit and doing a Coastal walk between watsons bay and rose bay. We stumbled across some great little bays and spots which looked over to the city. After sunset we had to speed it up before we got stuck in the dark without a torch! Ollie cooked up a mean pumpkin curry and we settled down for the final of the Australian celebrity...

Today we did a free walking tour of Sydney and it was great!! Took us all around the city and found out lots of interesting facts about sydney.... -the opera house was built for 14 times it's original budget -one of the most notorious Sydney gangs of the past were "the cabbage tree boys" -there is a letter to the people of sydney from the queen stored in the queen Victoria building which cannot be opened until 2085! We got up this morning and headed into the city. From where we are staying you access the city via ferry which is great, really quick and great views from the harbour. As we pulled into circular quay the opera house and harbour bridge were amazing! Took about a million pictures. We had some food in the rocks and explored the city a bit, walked miles before heading back and resting up for Tuesday! Over and out Han x
