So this morning we left our comfy motel and got a free ride from the hotel drive to graceland. We did the tour of elvis's mansion which was good, weird to think we were walking where he'd sat and sung and ate his breaky!Theres a memorial park where hes actually buried alongside his mum,dad,gran and twin brother who died at birth and its pretty much the closest i ever been to a megastar, dead or alive, probably closest i'll ever get. We then got the free shuttle to Sun Studios, a famous recording studio where johny cash,elvis and many others recorded and we had a choco milkshake in the old style american diner there. We then got the free shuttle down to the famous Beale St. supposed to be a happening place where the likes of johny and elvis used to visit, it turned out to be a bit of let down, kinda dead and boring, although we did have a good southern meal there!So we ended up a bit bored waiting for our train to Chicago!We've then got two rather random stopvers in kansas city and dodge city on the long journey across the other side to Flagstaff where we get to go see the grand canyon!i am really getting excited about that now!lots of love xx
