It's raining!!! Well we were warned that the west coast of the south island is very wet so we were prepared. We are now in Franz Josef and its a really pretty little town, but it's obviously juse here for us tourists as it only consists of pubs and one shop. On the journey over we visited a bushwaker museum where we fed a massive wild pig and saw a dvd about how the kiwis used to catch wild deer for farming. These crazy guys would jump out of a helicopter onto the deer and tackle it to the ground, aparantly when they used this method 80 people died doing it. Yesterday we went Glacier walking and spent over 5 hours on the ice itself. It was really good fun but cold! The guides reccomended you wear shorts aswel because they dry quicker and your legs don't get cold but i didn't think he meant knee length shorts like everyone else wore. So i looked like i had nothing on under my rain jacket but never mind. We got to crawl and squeeze through parts of the Glacier so my fear of confined spaces has dissapeared. I also won a skyive voucher in a game of irish bingo so were doing another skydive in the next few days, im so exited! It's a two for one voucher so me and Holly are splitting the cost of one dive so it works out at about 40pounds each for a 12000ft dive, awsome! We have a very early start tomorrow for Wanaka where we plan to spend a week there. Our driver Cam said that Wanaka is suppost to get quite sunny weather so hopefully thats true!
