We arrived in Queenstown on Tuesday as it's alot different from Wanaka. Queenstown is the party capital of New Zealand apparantly as well as the adventure capital so it's buzzing here! I really like it because the town centre is only small but it has everything you need and it's crammed with other travellers so you can get some cheap nights out! When we arrived there were two Kiwi buses on the same route due to demand so 90 of us headed out for a final night as a kiwi group as generally most people go their own way after Queenstown. We got offered free drinks in World Bar if you had a quote from Austin Powers movies, well anyone who knows me well knows im not an austin Powers fan so the only ones i could think of were 'Groovy Baby' and 'Im a fat b******'! It worked though! We have also bumped into our friends from Fiji here so thats really nice to catch up with them. Yesterday we went to Milford Sound for the day, It was a long day spending over 9 hours on a bus but it was worth it! Unfortunatly it was very cloudy and wet when we got the boat into Milford but it was still spectacular, the photos don't do it justice. I made the mistake of wearing a hat to protect me from the rain- it's now sleepig with the fishes at the bottom of the sound!!! It's suppost to be good whether from now on so we plan to do some frizby golf while were here. Sounds alot more fun than golf and it's practically free as long as we don't loose the frizby! We leave Queenstown on Tuesday and head to our final stop in New Zealand- Christchurch. We haven't heard great reports of Christchurch but we've only got a few days there until we catch the plane to Oz on 14th Dec. I can't wait!!!
