Not a lot to say today really!
We are now back in Bangkok for the night and going to the airport tomorrow afternoon for our 5.30pm flight to Sydney, getting us in at 5.30am what fun! Lots of protesting going on at the minute, which has not really affected us yet, apart from the fact that a lot of the roads around here are fenced off so getting transport to the airport may be a little bit more difficult. Ah well, we'll see what happens tomorrow. At worst, it should be a little bit more of a walk to a taxi.
Sleeper train last night was fine, by no means the worst we've had, though there were 40 people per carriage which was slightly different from the 4 we are used to! Got a bit of sleep, though not enough as I am still feeling a bit groggy! The train was due to get in at 6.30 and got here somewhere more like 9. Looking forward to leaving 'Asia time' behind, though it is quite amusing. Taxis and buses an hour late, your friend's dinner arriving when everyone else in the table is getting stuck into dessert, etc. 5 weeks in Asia have taught us to see the funny side I think.
Can't wait for Australia, though I'm sure it will be a major culture shock from what we're used to right now. Staying in wake-up hostel, Sydney tomorrow which looks pretty cool. First time in dorms since I was at school!
