Woke up today far too late and missed breakfast, boo! Wasn't too fussed though as the heat is completely killing my appetite. Finally a diet I might actually be able to stick to! Still eating enough though and drinking plenty (don't worry mum!)
Definitely too much sunbathing by the pool yesterday, woke up far more red than I would have liked. Hopefully it's a mistake that will only happen once, will be caking the suncream on much more heavily in future.
Today we had our first experience with Thai buses. They are pretty cool but equally as crazy as everything else in this city. You get on via doors in the middle of the bus, often the bus being at the other side of the road, and the driver takes off pretty much as soon as you're on the step! They did cost 14 baht for a return though, the equivalent of about 29p, which you can't exactly argue with.
We took the bus to a park on practically the other side of the city, called Lumphini Park, which is quite huge and well-known for the open air aerobics classes they hold. It was quite a sight to see, hundreds of people clad in sports gear doing aerobics. Most were Thai, but one very tall lad who was most definitely a tourist did an interesting mixture of aerobics/hip-hop between them.
We are now back at the hotel, which we are staying in until Friday. Mainly because we are too lazy to move and our stuff covers the floor of the entire room! Then we are staying in another hotel in Bangkok for a night before joining the GAP tour for 3 weeks through Cambodia and Vietnam. Definitely starting to get into the swing of things more, and be more busy. The length of time away from home will probably feel daunting right until the end though!
