Day 4 - not much time to post today. We did over 500 miles and are still at least a few hours ahead of schedule. We left from Gillette, Wyoming and it was not even 40 degrees! We had to later to stay warm, and thankfully we were only at interstate speed for about 90 minutes. Then we took the scenic route through Buffalo Bill park and into Yellowstone. The traffic in Yellowstone was awful, but what an amazing place, even just what we saw from the road.
We topped 8500 feet elevation clearing the pass into the park, with amazing views and sad ones - the park is so dry, and large sections of trees are dead or burned. But the views were amazing, and the roads fun to ride. We saw Ole Faithful (pictured) before heading north to Bozeman, Montana for the night. Tomorrow we head north to Glacier National Park and another day of amazing roads and views! Now if I could just get my traveling partners to take a few more minutes to eat, I'm suffering from perpetual indigestion!
