Day 12 - we rode up Interstate 70 through the Rockies to an elevation of over 11,000 feet, through Denver and into the straight highway abyss of the plains, intent on putting the miles under us to make it home early. Over 800 miles later we put in for the night in Lawrence, KS, planning for an early start tomorrow and another long day riding home.
