Today the clinic isn't open. We went on a game drive and saw elephant very close, buffalo and black rhino. One of the black rhino had a young calf. It was very sweet, I miss Dela!! We also saw giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, impala and kudu.

This morning the man from the anti poaching unit came into the clinic. He said that someone told him the reason for the large wound in the lower abdomen of the pushed think. Apparently when the udder us developed and full of milk for a calf, the teats are larger and are also very valuable. So they would have cut them out to sell as well. Today we had an early start. Had to go and load some buffalo into a truck then sedate them for the journey. It took a very long time to load them and they were getting pretty angry too. We then had to climb on top if the trailer and the vet gave them sedative with a pole syringe. We then went to dart 3 wild dogs at the cheetah project which had been sold to another game reserve. We went to vaccinate and test more buffalo today. Today was a bit more involved than it has been previously. We had 23 buffalo to do. I helped by handing the vet tubes to put the blood in, then numbering according to what buffalo it was. Back at the clinic it had been quite busy, but there wasn't much to do when we got back.
