First full day at new project. It felt strange waking up at 7.10am - that's the latest I have gotten up in 6 weeks! Today was a public holiday - youth day - so the vet clinic was closed. This morning I didnt do rounds, I got up and finished my packeing then wrote down instructions for how to look after Lula for Laura who was taking over Mummy duties from me. Then I went and took a last few photos. I found out I had to leave at 9.15am, so breakfast was a crazy rush again which was a shame. Such a manic last day!!! So we got up and did rounds half and hour early because we had to be on standby to go and cut up another elephant. Didn't do much exciting today, I wasn't sure whether I was leaving here tomorrow or the next day, so took lots of photos, got a pretty amazing one of one of the lions!! Today we went to Kruger National Park on safari. We saw buffalo, elephant, hippo, cheetah, giraffe, zebra, impala, waterbuck, kudu, springbok, wildebeest and lots of different birds. It was pretty chilly driving round but a really good experience. Wish we could have seen more of it, but there's only so much you can see of a national park the size of israel in one day!!
