A sunny lazy day.........
Our second day off during our holiday from pounding the streets or slamming the mountains, but for the whole family this time. Hubbie and I took full advantage of the morning and lounged in bed reading and catching up on work while consuming bacon bagels and mugs of tea made by our no.2 son.
Lunch was a cheesy concoction of leftovers. A few hours later after which we swapped our location to the sun loungers until we eventually dressed to leave the house for the 2.30pm showing of the latest American Pie movie.
The skies were peacock blue and cloudless so Hubbie and I opted to wander down by the lake to enjoy the sizzling sunshine rather than be stuck in an air conditioned cinema. We arranged to meet the boys at the nearby ice cream parlour when the film finished, a must for a hot day. Conscious of our overeating the day before we tried to restrain ourselves to a small tub, but temptation got the better of son no.2 and his eyes were bigger than his appetite.
Our stay in Tahoe was rounded off with one more dip in the hot tub, ribs and fresh sweetcorn cooked at home to steel us for the task of packing up the bags and cleaning the cabin before moving on to our next destination...
