Much better from Bronchitis, and had an amazing week. The kids are so great, and they never fail to make each day more interesting than the next. I did get a pretty bad bite from a little one though - about 2 1/2 and he was just playing around but I was holding an infant at the time and couldn't hand her off in time before he drew quite a bit of blood. I used a good portion of my Purell on it so it should be fine. I also found out that getting lice is really inevitable here, and I probably already have it along with the other volunteers. There's not much point in trying to rid myself of it while I work there either since it'll just return, so it'll have to wait until I get back in the States. Oh well- just think they have to deal with it every day with no relief in sight, so I can't complain. Also, another 5 volunteers joined me this week and they are really awesome - from the UK, Canada, California, & Australia. I find myself picking up accents right and left. We went out last night for the first time since I've been here and went to quite a few bars and clubs - they are much better than the states, and foreigners tend to get their drinks paid for often so it was a pretty good night! Our house family (where we temporarily stay until Feb. 4th when the new dorm is finished) was not not too pleased when we rolled in at 3:30am though - but I think it was well worth it for them; they laughed at us the whole next day for how tired we looked dragging ourselves around the house. Also, Tet is coming up next Thursday and we might go to Nha Trang - we may not be able to get there though, as most means of transport have been booked months in advanced - maybe we'll get lucky, or just hitch hike. :) Ok out of time, will write again soon.
