Today was a big day of traveling getting up at 3:45 in Brisbane and making it to Ho Chi Minh City at about 1600 local time. On arrival we managed to find our driver making our way to the hotel. The traffic is definetly an eye opener! There is an unbelievable amount of scooters and from the first look there is very little order to the traffic. Hundreds of Scooters constantly weave in and out of cars and trucks with up to four people of the one vehicle, some even use scooters to transport fridges and washing machine. Horns seem like a necessity here and can pretty much be heard all day and night!
Being fairly exhausted once at the hotel we visited the 'sky-blue' resteraunt on the buildings rooftop and had a very quite night. Dinner was very nice and surprisingly very similar to the food at Saigon Saigon back at home. For the meal a cocktail a couple of beers and a good scotch we each paid just less than $15 each.
