• After braving near 40 degree temeperatures in Dubai and the torture rack that is an Emirates Airlines seat we've landed in wonderful Perth and are having a ball! Sat up with Gills till 5a.m. on our first night here, catching up over a drink or two.We've been to Fremantle and Cottesloe beach, some wonderful eateries, have found 2 guitar shops close to the flat and are now looking forward to a weekend away to Margaret River to visit the wineries. Australia is a country of instant impact so in a few short days here some of our first impressions :
• favourite shop - drive-through licquor store
• favourite bar - Lucky Shag Bar !
• favourite time - sunset at the beach with a cold beer
• funniest Trivial Pursuit answer - Scrooge McDuck ( Gillian!) - university education!
• weirdest weather - Saturday's morning's horizontal rain storms followed by bursts of amazing sunshine . Watch this space - more to come !
