Sandalford Winery - Swan Valley WA.

As many of you know I really like wine but I don't actually know anything about it. The Australians here really like to think of themselves as wine experts and I guess that is understandable when you have a world renowned wine region 25 minutes from the city centre.

I had a great afternoon on a tour with cellar door manager Duncan and filming my blog for this week. There are vines on the Sandalford estate that were planted in 1890 and still produce fruit to this day that is used in wine making. I also got to try 6 different kinds of wine which was an abosolute trial as I'm sure you can imagine! Dad would be especially jealous of the 2001 vintage Shiraz I got to try - so smooth! The scenery was beautiful and I had the most fun I have had filming - probably the effect of the wine tasting.
