I've made it! The flight here was alright, didn't sleep much then hung out at Heathrow airport all day. But I'm finally here! My host family picked me up at the airport and they are great. They are both so sweet, and their kids are adorable. I'm about a foot and half taller than both the mom and the dad...and let me tell ya, watching a little man insist on carrying my 45lb backpacker's backpack up a flight of stairs is not so great. The dad was under the impression all Texans speak spanish, and I can assure you I am proving him very wrong. They took me around the city and it is absolutely amazing. I can't wait to get my camera charger and start taking pictures (Side note: No matter how important something is, I can pack and repack all my things and still forget crucial things such as camera charger, webcam, passport, ect... ). Tomorrow I am going to the university here where the au pair agency is and doing something with the parents, couldn't really figure out what they were telling me. They may think I am going to be taking classes, also a wrong impression. However, they said that I was going to be able to meet other au pairs...so that would be nice.
