Spent this morning touring Marrakech by mini bus, learning about development & globalisation.
We had a quick stop at the hypermarche to stock up on sweet & salty snacks, before setting off for Imlil!
We arrived into the village about noon & walked up the hill to the beautiful Kasbah, fortunately mules carried our big bags!! The Kasbah de Toukbal has stunning 360 degree views, the girls are sleeping in mezzanine style dorms & the leaders have separate rooms, all traditionally decorated & much more luxurious than we excepted!! Lunch was on the terrace in the sun!!
After a siesta (which is becoming a daily must) we took a short walk to a Berber village with our local guide, Abdul, for mint tea.
This evening is cloudier & cooler but better for walking in. Some of the girls have had the chance to call home, but apologise if they got cut off. We ate all safe & well & having a great time!
Tomorrow we set off on our 2 day trek! To call home we require 1 dirham coins which are hard to come by but we will save any we get for phone calls!
