Today we moved from the Kasbah to Dar Imlil. The hotel is closer to the village & also the Women's Association. Once we'd put our bags in our rooms we set off by foot to the other association building. There we painted two small rooms, firstly sanding them down before applying 2 coats of off white wash. We thought that we would be painting the larger room currently used for reaching and embroidery however, due to Ramadan there are more people there using the space during the day. Our work there though did show the women that it was not just a man's job to do DIY & painting and they will therefore use the rest of the paint that we have bought to do the larger room after the religious period is over.
We came back to the hotel for lunch and then went to the newer building to help the women finish cooking items to sell in their shop in the village.
Tomorrow we will paint the shop before spending the afternoon in small groups at the women's homes experiencing their daily routines.
