Well, it's been a while since I wrote last, and a shed load has happened so I'll try and fill you in on the most memorable bits.
The Campers arrived last Sunday and were as diverse a bunch of characters as you could possibly get. In our cabin the guys ranged from a 9yr old with hyperactivity and temper tantrums, to a 20yr old non-verbal guy who was constantly dancing, to a 53yr old guy with Downs Syndrome who WAS Elvis! They were all great, and I'll miss the lot of them coz the session ends tomorrow.
We've been up to all kinds of stuff in the last 12 days. Doing talent shows, having water fights, swimming everyday, having a boogie most nights, arts & crafts, photography, music & drama, sports & games, but most of the fun has just been enjoying the variety of characters you're surrounded by - I've loved it.
I'm not as knackered as I could be, but I'm still pretty far from fresh! Sunday was a nightmare, I had to spend 20hrs in Hospital!! Thankfully not for me though. One of the boys was a hypercondriact and prone to vomiting, and it just got to the stage where he wasn't holding ANYTHING down so he had to go in over-night for some fluids. He was alright in the end, and it was just a bit of a busmans holiday for me - no drama.
We've had some pretty bizarre weather the last few days. It's been really hot (obviously), but we've had full pelt thunder storms with proper scary thunder and lightning. I love stuff like that though, the sky has been taking on some cool kinds of colours, and the different types of heat you get throughout the day is mad.
Anyway, I could go on for ages, but people are waiting for the computor so I'm gonna tell you more later. x x x
Love & Stuff.
