The last few days have flown by! We've completed all our training and had pleanty of laughs along the way. The talent show was hilarious on Wednesday night, then we had a spontanious boogie session the other night, another moon lit pool party and pizza on Thursday, been to the Mall & bought stuff I blatantly didn't need, witnessed some bizarre Polish Karaoke AND managed to cram in some of the World Cup, what a bonus!
We've been split into our cabins now - I'm a Frog! I'm in with 6 boys and one girl, who is SO girly it's not even funny, it's a good bunch though. The cabins are pretty basic, but alright. All the counsellors (so eight of us) are in one room, and then the campers (20 per cabin) are in the two other rooms. The toilets and showers are in the same block - quite manky but then it's not the Ritz, so all in all it's not too bad.
Today is our last day of freedom, and our first full day off. Tomorrow starts the mayhem when 90 campers arrive, and want to be entertained 24/7. The first session lasts 12days so I just hope I get cool kids in my cabin!
Today we've been to Wekiva Springs which is just down the road. It was BEAUTIFUL! It's a state park with nature trails and canoeing and stuff. There's a crystal clear natural spring which was FREEZING but I'm so glad I got in for a swim. I managed to get a pretty good tan actually which I'm chuffed about! It was a top day out. They had baby aligators there too, in a little info cabin. They were cute but I wouldn't want to meet them once they're full size.
Tonight I think we're heading to the bar we went to last night, but they ID everyone, which is pretty crap but most of us are over 21 I'm obviously alright so it's all good!
Anyway, I'm sure I'll have loads to tell in a few days, so till then... Much love & Big hugs!
