Due to popular demand, the photo today is of our Nambucca Tawny Frogmouths. They are never easy to see and backlight in this shot does not help, but there is one in the fork at the centre and the other slightly to the lower left in another fork.
Dawn fishing attempt disrupted by dolphins cruising up and down in front of me. Went for a waterfront walk instead.
Left Port at around 0900 and took the Ocean Road to avoid the Pacific Hwy. This took us through Lake Cathie, Bonny Hills, North Haven,Laurieton, Kew and Ghinni Ghinni.
Nice uncrowded park right on the beach here at Old Bar with an adjacent airfield as a bonus. Hoping some ultralights may turn up tomorrow.
After setting up, set off for a fossik on the beach volleyball court and the nearby section of the ocean beach.
After rehydrating went for a walk in the town with Gayle. Cats match just about to start. "Go Catters"!

Sunny morning here but still windy with 55k/hr forecast for latter today from the west and around 20 to 35ks for most of the coming week. Should all be calm by the time you guys get back. We now have a rooster to keep the chooks company although his future lays in the balance and is based on whether I can lay-in of a morning. He started at 4.30 this morning!!!!.
