The sun rose very early in kununurra because we are so close to the northern territory so we were all up very early. Today we drove along the gibb river road for a day trip into el questro. El Questro is a former cattle station with so much to do. To get to the main station we had to drive through two rivers. It was the first time we had driven through the water. Our first stop was zebidee springs. The water averaged 32deg. The water came from the centre of the earth so it was very refreshing. Next we went for a long bush walk to the top of telecom peak. The view from the top was amazing. There were mountain ranges in every direction. After the walk we drove further along the gibb river road to Pentecost river to fish for the afternoon. Dad and I thought we'd try for barramundi. We fished for about an hour but had no luck. Mum had the binoculars out looking for crocodiles, as we had heard about saltwater crocs in the area. The scenery along the gibb river road was amazing. There were so many gorges rivers and mountain ranges. It all looked like a painting.
We had such a busy day and we are now all resting. Tomorrow we are driving to timber creek in hope of catching a barramundi.
