I'm up and running on safaricom just about to board the plane for my final outbound trip to Malindi, now all the major traveling is over I'm kinda excited to get working.
Everybody I speak to is nice and helpful, even the crazy taxi driver called Simba from last night, they seem even more helpful when I greet them with jambo (hello), habari gani, (how are you) asabui (morning) and asante ( thank you) good job I learned a little or I might still be queuing for my visa now.
This morning was a bit surreal, on the way down Mombassa road and watch people waking up from the road side and setting up little camps for the day cooking food for people traveling into the centre of Nairobi.
First day done already i've seen a Turtle die, been swimming with an Olive Ridley Turtle for a brief second before it fled off in to the distance (these flipper fins are no good)
So instead I just picked grass :
Tonight has been different, had pasta and tomato ragu with mozzarella and ham, watch 2 Ghekos fighting over a Hawk Moth and associated name with film characters so you remember who they are 1 thing I'd have never thought I'd do, watch David Atinborough, Blue Planet in a swimming pool in the middle of nowhere with a J.D and coke :) Even if I hated being here from tomorrow I don't regret a thing
All I can say now is "come back tomoz for the next instalment!!!
