Manchester to paris. No problems checking in and getting boarding passes I don't want to jinx myself but that was a little to easy, maybe Charles de Gaulle maybe a bit trickier?. I must say thanks to Beth, Nat, Anna and Ruth for making me go to Ibiza (for an unforgettable time) because the waiting around now doesn't seem so bad!
Landed in Paris safely in no time at all now the long bit begins, again surprisingly every things going to plan (apart from arrival times are local) so 1 hour to run across Charles de Gaulle for a fag that's a mission.
4038 miles to go, estimated 8 hours 20 minutes.
About half way through the flight and all is well only a small bit off turbulence the views are amazing flying at 550 mph and an altitude of 35000,
Just gone over Tamanrasset which is a military base (so I've been told).
So I land in Nairobi, get great help from an American guy called Andrew and then run into about 50 million ignorant French men who don't understand the concept of lining up for visa's and think it will be a good idea to pretend not to speak English when I ever so politely say (the best I can) "the back of the line is that way" but got all that sorted.
On the way to the hotel well what the jiffin' hell can I say about that drove past a car that had been rolled over by another not what you want to see when you first set foot on foreign soil then the taxi driver starts his own bloody disco with the headlights on and off to the beat 80 ??????
