Cafe Tico is one of the places that I totally associate with Costa Rica and Tamarindo. It's run by Eluisa, the nice of Claudio (the diving teacher), and part of "little Italy" here in Tamarindo. After I've found it, I went there every morning for breakfast between 7 and 8, because they (1) serve seriously the best coffee in the world (really fresh Costa Rican coffee brewed with a top italian machine), (2) I can practice a little bit of spanish here every morning, (3) sitting on the bar, I meet interesting and crazy people every day.
Just to name some examples, I met with Nataly, an american who moved here and is now doing online Astrology readings. I've met another american who is living here on and off on a 6-month basis and is doing interior design. I've met Emily and Elisabeth, two lovely american sisters that I went out with one night to the rooftop bar.
Cafe Tico will really stay in my memories, and I'm looking forward to come back one day. Eluisa, I will really miss you and your fantastic coffee. Pura Vida!
