Bay Center KOA. This is our last day in Washington, tomorrow we ride over the big bridge to Astoria, Oregon. I'm glad the day was short only 46 miles but very much up and down those darn hills all day. The up part not so much fun but the down runs were exhilarating almost worth the sweat! We stopped in Raymond for a second breakfast as the stiff climbs made short work of our oatmeal and banana breakfast earlier. Riding out of Raymond we found the bike path that took us off the highway for a few miles to South Bend. Then it was back on the road the rest of the way. We arrived at our destination in the early afternoon with lots of time to hang out at the beach, have a wine cooler, and simply relax. An uneventful day, wonderful sunny weather, enough hills for a challenge but not too arduous, what more could we want?
