Very busy day today, and eventful !!!!
Up early as normal, trip to the Market with a lady called Fatima. Trying to get necklace string, bought glue, beads, pair pair of shoes for one of my little Favourites, one of hers broke. Plus breakfast.
After breakfast a girl that arrived yesterday had just got back from the Market and realised she had dropped her purse there. Poor girl didn't know what to do her cards where in it and 100 dollars she had just taken out.
So I grabbed my bike she followed we done a spinning class to the Market, she sort of remembered the last time she went to her bag. Luckily as I have been here a while I ran round asking all the stalls (at the entrance of Market they cook deep fried bananas bread and all yummy things.
Suddenly we were surrounded by about 20 locals all gabbling, the bread lady was trying to tell me something, yes they knew who had the purse. A guy who spoke a little English tryed to explain, anyhow cut out all the goings on, they tryed to track him down, they said could we cone back tomorrow, no was the answer from us.
Guy said well can he have the cash, Mickie said yes, I said half if he brings it back. Joke !!! I threatened to call the police they didn't want that.
With that I had to cycle back and get ready for teaching at little Poe today.
Mickie did finally get her purse back, minus the 100 , with the guy apparently carrying a DVD. He had a good day !!!!
But she was just pleased to get cards back. By this point it's still only 12.00.
At 12.15 we left for the village school on the Tuktuk it's about 30 mins away.
Kids are always excited to see you 124 in one classroom with a pig roaming around. There quite grubby little darlings but all smilie.
We were given about 20 each and sent of to the Pagoda to teach them, it was a beautiful spot right on a river.
Hard to teach them as he has taught them parrot fashion, so although they no little English sure they don't know what they are saying. After class we walked back through the Pagoda with us all singing it was magical. Jingle bells, happy song, nick knack paddy wack, then the lovely cuckabarow song. I felt like the pied piper.
Return at 4.00 grab the bike down to the orphanage check the toilets out, give my lovely her shoes have a cuddle with them and dash back to go out for supper.
I'm exhausted but had a great supper of prawns noddles, I wanted lobster at 3.5 dollars but they only had one dish of it, and so one of the others grabbed it. Charming.
I'm going to go Thursday lunch time possibly on my own. It's a beautiful spot on the river .
Well I have cackled on enough, god knows what that sounds Like, I'm to tired to read. It better not crash.
Only 2 days left, it will be so hard to leave., if it was easy I could so adopt a few.
But I will sponsor them, and come back.
The picture is of the carving Sou done for me.
