Just feels like a normal Sunday here, really.
Up and out to the market, to get dinner, carrots, brocoli, beans, potatoes and onions with pork. Oh yes and I made apple sauce. For ten people. Did I say I brought bisto with me.
Ohps.
Lot of these guys have been travelling for months so Im actuall there best friend today.
Its been a bit lot hot work but well worth it, everyone is beaming with full tummys, the comment was all thats missing is the crackers !!!!!! .We even had some humungus yorkshire puds. It was very yummy & stuffed.
In between bloke John and I tidied up the backyard, its huge but like most things in Cambodia was a mess.
They hang the washing out on the walls etc, they dont get it in straight away like us good old english when we have had a warm day. Some of it gets left for weeks, so we where picking up all sorts of grubby washing.
Local girls had the day off today so they are in for a shock in the morning, what we have to realise is that you cant change peoples ways. But we will have a good go at it.
Poor John had the shock of his life when he moved a load of stuff a snake came out at him, but true to form the the young lads that live in here rushed out and it is now longer with us.
Just to explain a little as Im not sure if i did at the begginning, where we stay is owned by the guy that runs the orphanage with a lovely girl called Nu. it is about two miles away from the Orhanage. Where most of us ride the bikes to, or you can get a tuktuk that is owned here. It is very relaxed and easy going, to much so in some ways. Nu `s brother is the manager o the orphanage & lives in there with his wife two children and another on the way. There is also 2 cooks, who are lovely and trying to learn English in our lessons.
We are talking about trying to raise some monies, maybe you guys at home will help to take the children out to the beach for the day. So that will be very exciting for them, if it hapens. Have found out that it wi cost about 300 dollars for the day out for 60 of us.
Back in to the orphanage tommorow, for teaching. But some more travellers are here so tommorow there will 13 of us, to many really, so Jess and I might go off for a couple of days to Phnom Penh.
Always good to hear from you if you read my blog, its good to get a feed back. Dont think a lot are logging in to it, but maybe you dont just leave a message.
Well games night for us, so bye, hoe you have a good Sunday. Hope all those that done Great South are feeling okay and pleased with there time. xxxxxxxx
