Rolled out of bed at 8.30am... Body clock has it sorted! Then we were into the breakfast that was provided. One bread roll, butter, jam and coffee. No more, no less! That was a typical 'continential' breakfast. Off for breakfast numero dos we go. Well luckily I still have some amazing 'Natures Valley' muesli bars left over - oats and honey. These have become a bit of a sensation in our group and is always the first thing we buy at the Supermaxi's. I would highly recommend them!
Then we were off to check out the pre Inca sites dotted around the place. We joined a tour and went to 4 different places. Our tour guide was really motivated and fun so it was an interesting day. Some of the tools and mud bricks were just amazing. They built temples 5 stories high with only dried out mud bricks! They were all very impressive with their designs and advanced work of that time (1300 AD). That was a whole day tour and well worth it.
Sheri, Kenneth and I then went for a walk to buy a t-shirt and walk along the beach. Just when the sun was about to set we decided to run up the hill to the church to get a better view! It was simply amazing. I am so glad we did. The church is beautiful (I will get more photos up when the internet isn't so slow!) and we had a bell chiming until it set.
Now time for a toasted sandwich and rest time before our next night bus!
