Well, it does get a bit hot here at this time of year - 30.5c today and for someone with highly attractive milky white skin like mine that can be a problem.
We have organised our bus trip back to KTM for the 16th - we are using Greenline Buses this time and as the biggest local carrier they may actually turn up at the appointed time. As we have booked so far in advance we have claimed two seats right up front. With air-con and actual suspension at each end of the vehicle we can only hope the trip back is better than the one in.
On the trip here I was seriously thinking through the option of getting off the bus and buying a freakin' car to finish the journey. I think I may have been hallucinating at that point due to a combination of the heat, the relentless damage to my spine and the soon to be active violent sickness that was coming on.
I digress as usual. Later on we went looking for a business called Hearts & Tears - they hire out Royal Enfields. We did find them in the end only to be told that their business was temporarily closed whilst they built a new building - which they were doing in the background. Oh well.
We also managed to find the Bullet Base Camp bar and had a nice chat and beer with Nathan (the Australian owner).
After a Masala Dosa at a local Punjabi Restaurant it was back to the room for a shower and a rest - we haven't left the room yet.
Tomorrow is a 5.00am start to go up to Sarangkot for the views. Hopefully the mountains won't be obscured by clouds.
