Day 10 Washington D.C
Wow after a nice lie-in it was on the coach for our city tour, today we visit some of the nation's amazing monuments and memorials we make one of our first stop at the White House this is where it all happens and the world follows ,an incredible place full of history.. then over the potomac river to visit Arlington Memorial Cemetery which was very solemn. Then headed to visit the Lincoln Memorial which rises above you like the Greek Parthenon that it is modeled on, this Memorial stands at nearly 20 feet tall but feels 200 feet tall and i'am standing right underneath it FANTASTIC this is what i have been waiting to see here in Washington. we pass through the gardens of the Korean Memorial and the Vietiam Veterans Memorial both again very solemn. After passing through sights which there are to many to mention we stop off at Capitol Hill this is a lovely looking building and could be the place that Obama speaks to the nation?. The tour finished with a drop off outside the Smithsonian Instiution we visited the National Air And Space Museum what a place spent a few hours in here then moved next door to the National Museum Of American History very Intresting to see America how it was to present day? Then around 17.30 we both headed back to the hotel and chilled out since tomorrow is the last day and we are heading back to New York/Newark via Philadelphia.
