Day 11 Washington D.C - New York/Newark Via Philadelphia.
Well this is the last day of a Guernseymans tour of North America and it has been an amazing trip. We arrive in the lobby nice and early 07.30 for our visit to Philadelphia this for me being a place that i want to visit , We travel out of the city and head through Baltimore city and Navel dockyards past and present and on to Highway 95 stopping off along the way for a pit stop and rest, after eating some of the best beef jerky ever it was time to head off passing through Delaware Bay and the last bit of highway we pass two giant stadiums one was for American Football and the other Baseball, we then travel slowly downtown into the city centre our first stop is The School of performing arts this is where the famous Rocky steps are and for me well worth the wait. I get off the coach and do a little jog up the famous steps that overlook the city just like the film then go to the statue of Rocky which has now been moved to the bottom of the steps. We then head off to see the Liberty Bell and the House of George Washington which are sights that I will never forget. Then before to long it was time to leave this fascinating city and head to newark airport for out trip back home. We sit back in our seats knowing that shortly this journey will end but remembering all the people that we have meet along the way, and on this long coach journey with us. We all have fond memories of each and every one of the city's we have visited together and may they all reach home saftely. We arrive at Newark airport ready to take our overnight plane back to London Gatwick. We say our goodbyes on the coach, And bid farewell to both Alfrado and our tour guide Robert who have been fantastic as a Guide but formost as a person. Thank you....
