Day 8 Saturday Toronto - Niagara Falls.
Well this morning is going to be a short drive to the famous Niagara Falls the falls straddle on the Canadian- United States International border and both the province of Ontario and the state of New York. On our way through towards Niagara Falls we stopped off to visit the Niagara parks floral clock this clock is 40 feet in diameter and is made out of flowers. Our next stop was the Niagara whirlpool rapids this looks fantastic and hovering 250 feet above is the whirlpool aero car this metal box can hold 40 people, when we where there it was carrying 40 Japenesse tourists with their camera's clicking away. Then after 30 mins we were away again, Driving on towards the famous Niagara falls ,then in the distance we could make it out the coach party were getting excited, then..... the main event NIAGARA FALLS, on arrival the coach pulled up in the coach park and we all followed Roger through the turnstiles and on towards the Maid Of The Mist, we collected our blue water proofs looking like little worker ants and boarded the boat. After many years i have made it, the maid of the mist and the falls only minutes away?water looks a bit scummy in parts. On the boat we travel taking photo's along the way first we pass the American Falls which looks very pretty. With the water crashing down with a thunder like sound hitting the massive boulders below. We see people in yellow water proofs walking around the base trying to touch the water. We then move along hearing the history coming from the speakers above our heads about the horse shoe falls, then all of a sudden we are here right under the falls the noise is loud, and im deaf in one ear? a voice over the speaker said welcome to NIAGARA FALLS, i may have got a little bit excited and shouted c'mon Guernsey, why i dont know, but what i do know is that when people go home and replay their home movies they will hear that forever, how about that for Guernsey tourism eh. Once over and back on dry land we had a spare hour to walk around what took me by surprise was on one side the falls on the other a little bit of Vegas, anyway checked it out then headed back to the coach to check in, on the American side at the hotel via another 30mins stop on the other side for a photo stop. In the evening we had a fantastic buffet in the Skylon Tower over looking the falls which put on a fantastic light show for everyone money well spent, then again it was over all too soon we then headed back to the hotel for a early rise to Washinton DC .
