Day 19: Can you see that? That is the Milky Way in all it's splendor! God's glory revealed! The stars are absolutely brilliant here at the Bungle Bungles.
It was sad to leave Kununurra, but we must continue on. After 250kms, we left the van at the turnoff to the Purnululu NP...no caravans on this road in! And after 53 kms, 1.5hrs and several awesome creek crossings later...we made it.
We are on an awesome site, right on the river (dry), with two tents and our bush camping gear.
Today is Darcy's 10th birthday and what a place to be to celebrate reaching double digits. We had sausages on bread, cans of creaming soda, peaches with custard, and a triple-decker fairy bread cake with lollies to celebrate!
Darcy has gone to bed happy and thankful for what he has experienced this birthday. He is such a wonderful boy, with such a love for life. We love him very very much. Happy Birthday Darcy!!!!
The Bungle Bungles is our home for the next 2 nights. It's great to be in the great outdoors.

kazza krahe ok so was yesterdays tour the one with all the bodies of water that go in different directions? the one u wanted to do the helicopter and boat ride at? and todays good to see you with the tent but do crocodiles come up on those river banks? can u even answer questions on a blog?
fionap Hey Karen. I can answer, just not always straight away...depends on signal strength. The tour we did was not the horizontal falls, but it was great all the same. We were bussed to Lake Argyle and then we jet boated down the Ord River for 55kms! It was great. We learnt about the making of the Sam etc etc. a very good tour, highly recommend it! I am bringing back all the brochures for you lovely plus prices, that way you can budget better. X
fionap It was great Leesa. X
