Day 69: After a lovely bacon and egg muffin courtesy of the Duaringa Lioness', we get back on the road.
We drive the 70+kms to Rockhampton, and stop at the Tourist Info to get our bearings...it's weird being back in a city.
Craig suggests we go to the movies with the boys, and then do our groceries, so we all get a dose of Despicable Me 2.
As we do the grocery shopping, Craig and I realise how confronting the noise and the consumerism is...and our senses can't handle it! We get out of the shopping centre as soon possible.
Because of this, we decide not to stay in Rockie, but drive on to another rest area, away from civilisation. The whole thing has given us a realty check for what's ahead of us.
Our drive takes us to the Boyne River RA, south of Rockhampton, and it's packed with nomads. We squeeze into a spot, and between the dogs and the non-stop traffic, we settle down for the night.
Tomorrow is Riley's 5th birthday...

Betty Ogilvie I'm not looking at the date - but Happy Birthday Riley. You will be home in plenty of time to start school next year. Safe travelling - Betty O. (now you know whom I am!)
Gran & Pa Guess who missed that big birthday "5" Sorry Riley. Hope you had a great day. We'll have a birthday bash when you get home for our three (3) grandsons. Not long now. Hope you have some woollies with you.
