Intersession started ok with a trip to good ol' Wendy's, an american version of the wimpy except better. Walked there in the rain, in flip flops. Walked home in the pouring rain, without flip flops. I'm quite proud that I managed to go all that way with no shoes on but did regret it slightly the next day. But mmmm the food was so good and the frosty after was even better but no way could I have eaten a whole one by myself - brain freeze! I watched "Cold Mountain" with Blair and cried at the end - he left because he was tired, pathetic excuse if you ask me! :-)
Friday and it's time to spend more money. Me, Jazz, Blair, lil' Dan and Wendi caught the bus and went to the mall at Smith point for a bit of shopping. I had a plan of what i wanted and I fulfilled it, spent a little more then anticipated but no worries, it's good quality. You can't go wrong with Abercrombie & Fitch! Lunch was a chinese from the food court and it was good stuff. After a week of KFC chicken style pieces, fries and mac 'n' cheese, vegetables and real meat are needed.
After the the first bout of shopping, we decided to go to the cheesecake factory. I have never seen cheese cake like it. The smell, the flavours, the size. None of us managed to eat all of it. Wendi had coffee with hers and regreted it slightly as she had a combined coffee and sugar rush!!!
In the afternoon we took a bus back to Patchaque for a festival that was happening called "Alive after Five". the whole main street was closed off to traffic and the pubs and bars had opened up onto the pavements, there were stalls and musicians. It was a good atmostphere and there were a couple of live bands. One of the pubs called "J&Rs" had a stall outside that was selling German beer and if you had a glass you could keep it after! This was the begining of our downfall!
We met up with Michael, Kerry, Louise, Ruth, Theo, Mick and Pia. Food all round. We were told that Harry had been sent home for his health and that Dan had had an accident. Stupid guy decided to ride a kids trycicle (that didnt have brakes) round a sloped track. He hit a wooden rack, the trike stopped he didn't! Oh how we laughed and vowed to take the piss when we next saw him. Let the night begin. There were a couple of good places. One pub had a live band inside. They weren't particuarly good and their "groupies" were hillarious. As soon as one left another appeared and was worse then the previous. One man collasped onto the floor, another was dragged out by a bounce - oh good times.
The night was finished off at a bar owned by a friend of Bridgets. Wendi's "boyfriend" was with us. He was creepy and really touchy feely when talking to you. Mick said he could talk him away. 10 minutes later he was gone!!!
Saturday - A day for feeling hungover and sorry for myself. After being "helped" to my bed from the taxi I have to admit that I was slightly ashamed. Unfortunatly I will not live it down and am getting frequent reminders from Blair and Theo. Not my proudest moment but at least I wasn't sick!!! Spent the day lazing around the place reading and washing clothes. I helped Blair to make some frames for his paper making sessions and then went to Wendi's again - you just can't beat it.
Girls again this week but they're younger so shouldn't be too much trouble!
