From Namche we wondered up to Deboche (3820m), it only took 5 hours in glorious sunshine. We stayed there overnight in a walk in fridge with a couple of beds and a curtain. Paul offered to pay Phillip to warm up his sleeping bag but it's not that kind of trip!
This morning we left Deboche and headed uphill to Shomare for lunch in a freezing hut. Paul had a egg & veg spring roll and Phillip had Momo (veg samosas) with chilli sauce.
It's worth mentioning on the subject of food and drink that both Phillip & Paul have spent 5 whole days whithout alcohol, caffiene or meat!
After lunch we trekked in heavy snow up to Pheriche (4240m), we are currently sat on a lap top with wifi next to a woodburning stove that is buring Yak dung. Our room for the night looks just as though it will probably be even colder than last nights but at least we have both made it this far.
Tomorrow is an aclimitisation day with a climb upto Nangkar Tshang at 5000m then back to Pheriche.
We are now only three days away from base camp as long as we both remain well.
