I meet Juli for breakfast and we have some Indonesian food in a local restaurant near to her hostel. God knows what I was eating, though at least it wasn't anything strange like cow brain or anything. Afterwards Juli wants to pick up some souvenirs from Bali to take home and so we head towards Kuta, the tourist mecha! The roads were their usual super congested and so it takes longer than it should. When we get to Legion St it isn't even clear where you can park. There appears to be bikes just lined up along the pavement, so after driving for a bit I decide that I shall just abandon my Moto here along with the rest of them.

Shopping with Juli was somewhat of a pleasure. Unlike most girls that I have been with she is able to go in to a shop and have a look and then buy something. How refreshing. She picks up about 8 tops and then she announces that she is done. Wow! Finished already, good job. We grab a coffee in Starbucks, but we had to pass through an airport style security check before being let in. Bizarre. As we are having the coffee I ask her what time her flight is at, she tells me that it is soon. I have a look at the watch and can see that we should have left 30mins ago. We abandon the coffee and head back to the Moto, because we have to go back to Seminyak first to get her luggage before we go to the airport. Of course Seminyak is in the opposite direction. After some truly amazing driving by myself, we get to the airport 30mins before departure. I park the bike up and say goodbye and tell her to run. We arrange that I will sit in the Starbucks for 30mins and if she doesn't come back I will presume that she made the flight. I park the Moto up, which is easier said than done. In the Moto parking lot, there is not a lot of space to swing your bike in. I end up performing a 27 point turn trying to negotiate in to the space. I make my way to the Starbucks and order up a coffee and wait. Juli never appears and then I get an email telling me that the flight was delayed and she was just waiting to board. Phew, we made it.

I head back up towards my bike, now being very familiar with this airport. First time I am leaving with my own transport though. Feels good knowing that I have the Moto in the parking lot. A pleasant drive back to Seminyak and I leave the Moto back to the guy, then back to the hostel. I relax for the rest of the afternoon as I am going to meet Troels and Louise for dinner and drinks later, and then tomorrow I am leaving Bali for Australia. My God!!

I get the taxi in to Kuta to meet Troels and Louise, it is a celebration because Louise had completed her year long dissertation for her degree, while travelling, I'll bet that was pretty tough. So we go to TJ's again and order up a mexican feast, along with a good selection of beers. Then we head to another bar, one that they were at 3 years ago. Apparently owned by some guy that they had met in the Philippines. To my horror it is the bar that Troels and I passed the other night with the Asian girls with the whistles. Once we break through the obscenity the pub is actually quite nice, not what you would have thought from the exterior. Turns out the pub isn't owned by the guy any more and the price of the beers is pretty steep. We head back down one of the quieter streets and pick a place that has a good price on beers and some live music. We are practically pushed in to the chairs, before we can even have a look at the menu, so keen they were. We have a few beers while listening to the music, then the lights go out, I guess someone forgot to pay the bill. We finish up and then head to the same place Troels and I were the other night as they have a pool table. Again not too many people in the place and so we will have to create our own atmosphere. Not a problem for us. A few games later, with me not having played my best we decide to call it a night. We head back down towards the beach, before I say my goodbyes to the guys and jump in the taxi. They have extended me the offer to come and see them anytime I want in Denmark, something which Troels tells me is quite an accomplishment as Louise doesn't like guests in the house. I gratefully accept and extend the same in return. I have been so lucky, I have managed to accumulate quite a few friends in European countries that I haven't visited yet, how fortuitous. Ha

My taxi ride was uneventful and boring, with not even being offered anything by the taxi driver. I get out of the taxi and in to my hostel for the last night. It was an early one. My impending departure weighs heavy on my mind as I head to bed.
