Get my early phone call from Yolanda, time for breakfast. Luckily we are going for the dough sticks and soya milk, so I can just about deal with the early rise. Back down to the market and get the grub. You sit on these wee stools about 8inches off the ground at little
tables. It is like a kids table, but this is what everyone is sitting at. After breakfast it's back to the hostel and goodbye to Yolanda.

A nice relaxing day in the hostel. It is so hot outside and there is so little to do in Nanning that I just stay in. The hostel is good Craic anyway, with all the staff having a good level of English and wanting to talk to you. It's kind of nice not having any plans while I'm here, just taking a few days to chill.

Later in the day Fei Fei txts me and tells me she is coming to Nanning and asks if there are any beds in my hostel. I ask at reception and there is so she books a room, she'll be here about 11pm. Maybe we'll do something when she gets here, go explore the city perhaps. If there is anything to explore.

I get my room changed and shout at Elaine for putting me with the freak in the first place. She claims it is one of the best rooms. Lies! The day passes quickly and before I know it Fei Fei has arrived. We head back down to the food market where she orders up some noodles, then some cow throat! Nice. I tried it. It was horrible. All crunchy as you bite through the cartilage, not a good move, though she loves it. After this we get some desert. Two flavours, sesame seed and peanut paste. Had the consistency of custard. Interesting. Not very sweet. It is about this time that we see another couple of rats running about. Lovely. It's another late night by the time we get back and the hostel is all locked down for the night. We have to ring to bell to get let inside.
