Raffaella picked us up at the train station and we took a taxi to her flat. She insisted we stay in her and Norberto's bedroom, while they took the guest room. And as Norberto says, once Raffaella makes up her mind, that is it! Luckily, Raffaella was an English teacher, and she loves history -especially of Milano, so she was better than a hop on hop off bus tour! Over the days and nights we saw the highlights of Milan, shopped for new European plugs to fit our phones, had lovely meals prepared at home (despite my request that we take them out to say thanks) and a bit of laundry, too.
July 4: R and N were on a walking program - 10,000 steps a day, so we went to the park and walked and walked. It was lovely until my feet gave out and my right ankle could take it no more. We took the bus back to the house. With my body protesting, we all decided to eat dinner at the restaurant across the street from their flat. The salad was lovely, and Raffaella chose a t-bone dish that fed three of us and there was enough steak left over for a breakfast of steak and eggs.

Eda OMG. This is fantastic. I feel like I am really there with you and can almost taste the food. Thank you for doing this and allowing us to travel with you experiencing the bumps and highs! So glad to know those bumps don't only happen to me!!
