...boy did we drink last night!! We slept until 10 am and missed the plenary session today. We took a taxi today who gave us the runaround- a bit - so we paid 10 Euro more than yesterday..we arrived in time for lunch and unfortunately the sandwich was made with gluten free bread... It was awful.. They had run out of soup. Oh well.. We had a session next with a couple of seniors who had sold their house and have stayed in 1-1/2 years of Airbnb listings. They have had amazing experiences and wonderful pictures, and they were really downsized. I don't think I could do it that I'm too much of a Taurus, attached to my home and Mike things. But the wanderlust is definitely there… I can't remember if I mentioned it earlier, but apparently Los Angeles is one of the four cities in contention for the 2016 Airbnb convention. If it turns out to be the case, I will definitely apply to work for Airbnb to try to make it more accessible for seniors. We did a couple of workshops at the end of the day, one was how to do little things to help leak our hosting better for guests, and we've taken away a couple of wonderful suggestions. The other was how to work with other hosts in our neighborhood suggestions on how to organize, and I look forward to bringing these ideas to the Hollywood Hills hosts group for Airbnb. After another $25 cab ride from the convention to where we are staying, we walked around looking for a place for dinner. We walked until we found this place -Bonna Anna. Joey loves Italian, as do I, so we stopped in here. It was a wine shop, or that's what looked like, but it is an Italian restaurant with recipes from Puglia - of course we asked for our favorite wine – amerone . Of course they had it! The owner (whose mother was nonna Anna) shared many of his favorite vineyards with us, so we took pictures of the labels so we could try to find the vineyards when we arrived in Italy. I was looking forward to that gnocchi with pesto and bresaola but apparently they didn't have any. So, I chose the ravioli creme de buffe (apparently that is truffles ) and it was wonderful. Joey got lasagna as usual and it was terrific as well. The owner asked us if we like minestrone and we said of course - so he brought us a bowl of amazing soup. This is a wonderful restaurant. It's almost a hole in the wall, so you have to look for it, but if you want terrific Italian food, and to be treated like family, this is the place to go.Airbnb homes for 2-1/2 years! Nomads!! Uh ohh - we thought we were finished but the host brought out two bottles - do we want grappa or limoncello? No question!!! Limoncello it is! Grazie Mille!!! This is a wonderful restaurant. It's almost a hole in the wall, so you have to look for it, but if you want terrific Italian food, and to be treated like family, this is the place to go. I promise you, you will not be disappointed.
